It's been a while since I posted - I have been learning the true meaning of 'being busy'. Here is the latest of the fruits of my labour. It is an animation about Climate change I made for tve's 'A million views on Copenhagen'. It follows the story of a young Namibian who learns for the first time, the need to act when the changing climate threatens his dreams of becoming a rap artist.
This film was produced in less than 4 weeks (pre-production inclusive).

Here's my animation show reel up till July, 2009. The first clip is from 'Playground', a short film about child education in Africa that I am presently working on, the second scene is a test 'scene treatment' for a planned animated TV series about African Folktales, and the rest are excerpts from completed projects.

I ran into this while nosing around on the web (nosing can have its good sides, u know). It's a 2d animation made with Toon Boom by a Nigerian called Bode 'Breezie' Aruleba in his spare time. Although the music (which isn't very original) does get in the way of the dialogue quite often, I think the animator comes across as having a good and engaging sense of story telling - it'll make u laugh. You should check it out!

Like some of the live action movies from Nigeria, it is the premises on which the stories are told that draws its following.

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog. I'm a film maker from Nigeria with a special interest in directing both animation and live action. I figured I've got quite a bit lined up for this year and thought it'd be great to share all that with u. Coming from a phenomenally peculiar film industry where the term 'By any means necessary' defines everything, I hope to share a lot regarding making films 'by any means necessary', my personal approach to my projects and useful hints for other film enthusiasts out there.
